“I’d like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free and wanted other people to be also free.” -Rosa Parks
Start the day in the garden with breakfast with your immediate family. Technically not a red, white and blue tablesetting, but you could so easily add a pop of red by switching out the purple flower in the vase to a red one. This tablecloth with it's French provencal pattern is cheerful and bright! Adding a linen towel with red embroidery is a fun way to bring on the red too! I often use the guest towels as large, catch everything napkins! The antique French enamel coffee pot is happy to serve!"From every mountainside, let freedom ring." - Martin Luther King
Featured in this summer's Victoria magazine, not technically a table but a mini-buffet. It doesn't take much to create a lovely patriotic setting. Here in our back garden, I pressed the potting bench into service as a dessert station. It was so easy to create a little patriotic setting using red and white checked bowls and plates, red checked linen napkins, and adding flags.“May we think of freedom not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.” -Peter Marshall
We have hosted many 4th of July celebrations here in the garden, but this year we have been invited to a BBQ by one of my best friends. If you host this year, I hope you have been inspired to create a beautiful setting with this little look back at some of my favorite Patriotic Tables. I wish you all a beautiful, relaxing weekend celebrating our country and freedom! Happy Independence Day!A BIENTOT

Paula, they are plastic! We don’t carry them anymore, but they were great fun. They are the same kind as these:

Lidy, I’m all about red, white, and blue for summer in our home. I love to use the theme to set our summer tables inside and out. I have a good size collection of folk art Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty figures that I’ve collected through the years. They gather on trays on our dining table, buffet, and side entry table. There is even a small tray of patriotic rabbits on our morning room table. Flags flutter from vases filled with red, white, and blue flowers.
Hope you enjoy your festive 4th. BBQ sounds delicious. It will just be the two of us. I suspect we’ll have hot dogs, one of my husband’s favorites.

Ellen, thank you! I hope your Independence Day is glorious!! What colors of the Pip dishes did you collect?

Gorgeous inspiration, and the sliders look delicious! If you ever find any more of those Pip Studio plates, I am definitely interested! I have only a couple of small things, having discovered it after they discontinued it.
