Easter morning unfolds in light—sun streaming through open windows, delicate seasonal flavors arranged with care, and the quiet beauty of fresh petals catching the day’s first glow. Inspired by that gentle sense of renewal, this month’s Monday Morning Blooms embraces a palette of soft yellow and timeless blue, layered in a way that feels both fresh and storied.
Be sure to visit my friends Pam and Mary and see their Easter inspiration....I'm sharing their links at the bottom of this post.

On the table, yellows and serene blues mingle across porcelain, linens, and glassware, creating a sense of effortless spring elegance. Bright tulips, subtly layered textures, and polished flatware invite guests to linger, savor, and celebrate the season.
Easter whispers what the heart longs to hear — new life is always possible.

Every detail, from the gentle curve of this bunny pitcher used as a vase to the shimmer of crystal, is curated to elevate the table into a moment of refined joy. This yellow-and-blue tablescape is at once playful and sophisticated, capturing the spirit of Easter with timeless charm.
The darkest Friday could not silence the coming Sunday.

My starting point is this favorite {new} French yellow and blue tablecloth — that feels like sunshine woven into fabric. The pattern is cheerful yet refined, setting the tone for a gathering that is joyful but never overstated. Yellow brings warmth and optimism; blue lends balance and quiet elegance. Together, I think they create that perfect harmony between celebration and grace.
Where love once seemed buried, grace blooms again.

At the center of the table: a bunny pitcher {I use it every Easter} brimming with yellow tulips and alstromeria.
There is nothing complicated about tulips, their graceful stems and cupped petals feel hopeful — almost as if they are stretching toward the season ahead. Arranged loosely, they look as though they were just gathered from the garden and placed there without fuss.

Each place setting begins with a stunning classic white Arte Italica plate — crisp and luminous against the patterned cloth. On top, an antique French Gien blue and white plate {birds!} adds depth and history. The layering is subtle but intentional.

White provides a fresh canvas; blue and white introduces story. The interplay between the old and the new — the new cloth, the antique porcelain — is what makes the table feel curated rather than too decorated.
The empty tomb is heaven’s everlasting promise: nothing is impossible with God.

Blue and white has always been a favorite for spring entertaining. It pairs beautifully with florals, especially yellow flowers. The contrast allows the tulips to glow, while the pattern on the plates echoes the tones in the tablecloth, creating visual continuity without feeling overly matched.

Antique French folded linen napkins, tied with French wired blue & white ribbon is all that is needed. Let your flowers breathe. Let your colors speak. Let your antique pieces quietly shine.

This table is not about extravagance — it is about atmosphere. It's about creating a space where your guests linger a little longer, where sunlight catches porcelain edges, where tulips open slowly throughout the meal. It is about honoring tradition while welcoming the new season with open arms.
Resurrection is not only a miracle of faith, but a promise for every broken season.

As you set your own Easter table this year, I hope you consider beginning with color. Choose one hue that feels like spring to you — butter yellow, robin’s egg blue, soft green, bright pink — and build from there. Add one antique element for depth. Add one fresh floral moment for life. Keep the rest uncomplicated.

Easter reminds us that beauty returns, year after year.
Sometimes, all it takes to celebrate that truth is yellow tulips in a pitcher and a table set with care.

Good morning, Lidy. Your French-inspired table has me lingering over each of your photos. The softness of the plates, along with the loveliness of the table linens, adds to the delicate floral arrangement. I love tulips. And they do look like they were freshly cut from your garden. The bunny pitcher was the perfect vase!
Thank you for the inspiration!

Rita, thanks for joining me at this early Easter table. I’m so happy it brought happy memories for you! Blue and yellow bring memories to me too, they were the favorite colors of my Mom. It feels early, but Easter is before our next Monday Morning Blooms! Wishing you a blessed week, Xo Lidy

Lidy, this presentation on your table reminds me of the Van Damme household, our founder and artistic director of our ballet. Andre and his wife Maggie would entertain the ballet at their home, and blue and yellow were her colors in the their kitchen, with white walls. What a wonderful memory evoked by your table. I could literally just put all those elements in cart and buy it all, so beautiful! I love the Gien plates with that delicate bluebird design on each. Perfection. Thank you for making such beautiful elements look so stylishly effortless, as the French know and do so well. Happy Monday Morning, Easter edition!

Good morning, Lidy. I am a fan of buttery yellows and serene blues! The French yellow and blue tablecloth is most charming and perfectly sets the stage for your lovely setting. The bunny pitcher filled with yellow tulips and alstroemeria is simple but stunning in its simplicity. The antique French Gien plates of blue and white are beautiful. I love and appreciate you sharing the quotes for the reason we celebrate Easter!

Lidy, your table is full of charm and grace! I always love to see blue and yellow mixed on a table, and that linen is a perfect draw! The Gien plates are pulling at my heart strings and are a perfect partner to the Arte plates. Welcoming spring and bunnies here in Texas. Happy Day!
