French tulips for Easter at Home
French tulips for Easter at Home This year, Easter is sure to be different from other years. We will all be Celebrating Easter at Home. Welcome to our MONDAY MORNING BLOOMS! Today we are bringing you inspiration to bring joy to your Easter celebration! Our Easter celebration is usually a grand affair with an Easter Egg Hunt outside in the back garden and brunch with extended family and friends celebrating and eating together. This year we'll be enjoying a quiet celebration here at FrenchGardenHouse because of our mandated Shelter at Home order through the end of this month. We all want to flatten the curve! Even more reason to take some time to bring joy and beauty to your table, to celebrate Easter and our risen King! Monday Morning Blooms for spring We are sharing Easter inspiration today for our Monday Morning Blooms. I hope you are blessed and inspired to do something creative for your family at home. : ) These are all from Easters in the past. I know that some of you can and do still get flowers, and some don't. So while most of the table settings and flowers from our "pasts" are fresh, I am sharing at least two posts where I used faux flowers. All the inspiration can be translated by you at home using what you have. Easter is a celebration of hope, new life, and our risen Savior. Easter is a celebration like no other! If you are alone, with the two of you, or have your little ones there, celebrate how you can, with what you have. One thing I am sure of, we {you and I and all of us} are an amazing resilient and creative group of people! I set this Easter drinks table in the garden, using an antique French sheet as the cloth. Our favorite Country Garden Tea Towel as oversized napkins. Especially for meals outdoors, the large size of the towel allow everyone to spread the bigger towel on their lap to catch any accidental spills. The tulips and freesia are so beautiful together with wax flowers and statice, aren't they? Placing them in an antique French enamelware pitcher makes them look casual enough for an outdoor gathering, French Country style.

Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.” Martin Luther

French Country Brunch For this outdoor Easter Brunch table, I used gold chargers with contemporary black plates to show off the stunning antique lavender plates by Clarice Cliff. Little antique gold rimmed aperitif glasses were at each place setting filled with Easter egg candy, and one blue qual's egg. I tucked in a place card to show everyone "their" seat. This is a small table that you could copy using your own faux flowers, and your own dishes etc. If the weather allows where you are, do it outside....but otherwise a small table like this indoors can be really beautiful too! The centerpiece was so easy! I used a silver tray, and bits of moss with birds nests. I scattered some little eggs on the tray, and added a small plant. The big antique wicker floral stand holds faux flowers! I used oversized faux hydrangeas, roses and pink peonies.

The napkins are that wonderful striped linen, our favorite Napoleon Bee Napkins, and antique sterling and mother of pearl flatware.

Here is a table set for two. Using a bright French yellow and blue tablecloth, I set this table in front of our living room window for an Easter breakfast. French Country Easter Table The flowers for this table are all faux! I put a little piece of dry foam in the porcelain planter, and just stuck in the stems of the faux flowers. A few branches from a blooming bush from the garden here and there add a touch of nature. Our favorite French Bee Striped Napkins add another layer of color, texture and pattern. Because often, and certainly on a small table, more is more! Easter Brunch French Country Style

Traditionally, our Easter celebration looks much different. I'm sure yours normally does, too. Most of the things that I've normally taken for granted, like being together with family and friends, are missing in person this year. I hope that we will all lock this difficult lesson we are learning right now in our heart and remember it. To cherish each and every moment of togetherness. It's so precious! I'm preparing to send little care packets to our little people today. I've decorated the sitting area in our master bedroom with some spring accents like gold bunnies and a few faux spring flowers. And I'm going to figure out how to have a virtual egg hunt with our little people....I've googled it and it's a thing this year!

Easter is not what we imagined it would be this year. But the true celebration of Resurrection Day, or Easter, remains! We are celebrating the Risen King, and even though there will just be the two of us, I intend to make the best of it. I will miss our family and friends, and I know you will miss your beloved family too. But we can still reach out to each other!

We cannot change the situation we are in right now, but we can change how we think about it, and we can choose to be a blessing to others. Let's ask God to show us how to be filled with gratitude and joy, how to be a comfort to others, and how to celebrate each day.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Lidy, it seems that I am the only one that hasn’t snagged any Clarice Cliff “Charlotte” transferware. It truly is stunning and I must acquire a little. No one does faux flowers better than you, it is impossible to tell that they aren’t real. It was such a joy to revisit your beautiful tables, all so inspirational with your lovely linens and antique dinnerware. Your sitting room in the master is perfectly dressed for spring and Easter. Wishing you and yours a joy-filled Easter…He Is Risen!

Sigh..oh the beauty of your tables…you know how much I love the bee pattern. And I have to figure out how to snag those wonderful bird plates through cyber space! I recently acquired some Charlotte transferware and thinking of putting them in my new powder room. You truly inspire me with you amazing antique dinnerware and accessories. You so graciously gather your pretties and create the most enchanting tables. Always happy to join you for Monday Morning Blooms…my favorite Mondays! Have a most beautiful day and stay safe and healthy Lidy!
