Beautifully made, delicate and with a feminine style, this exceptional Sterling Silver Tea Strainer was made in the late 1800's. Decorative scalloped edges are enhanced with hand engraved florals on each scallop. An elegant classic, luxury quality for your tea time! The fine hand turned handle is ebonized dark wood, three splayed silver feet allow the strainer to stand on your tea table.
Marked with 4 hallmarks, tested sterling, unfortunatley I have not been able to determine who made this after {exhaustive!} research. What I DO know is that this is a fine quality treasure to add to your tea table, or to gift to a host or hostess you love who has a silver or tea related collection. Patina from being used over 100 years.
