Early Antique Estate Staffordshire Spaniel Dog with Basket, this is an unusual dog as she's carrying a little basket with greenery. Prized for her age {early 1800 to mid 1800's} she is a simple dog with less detailing than there is on later made Staffordshire dogs.
While larger dogs were for decoration only, often these rarer to find in one piece small dogs were played with by children when they were really, really well-behaved. A charming and rare to find dog, she has a chipped back leg which no one has repaired nor repainted because that's part of her charm.
