Lovely Antique Silver Plated Chocolate Pot with a solid turned side-mounted wooden handle, a balluster shape and elegant feet. The lid has hand applied beaded detailing, and a nicely formed finial. I fell for this pot because of the rare heart shape where the handle joins the pot. Not for the perfectionist, this pot has served lots of chocolat chaud to generations of the same family. At one time the lid hinge was repaired, and there are little peeks of the copper base showing on the heart shape, the spout, and the back of the hinge. The handle has a tiny wobble after over 100 years, it is firmly attached.
A stunning pot that has been loved to serve that rich, mood elevating hot chocolate to generations. Please see all the photos. A true pleasure to own this, to display and use this beautiful pot!
