A charming French treasure, this antique Portieux Vallerysthal cabbage bowl glows in the prettiest soft lilac-lavender opaline glass. I was immediately drawn to its beautiful color and whimsical leaf form — a wonderful example of the romance and creativity found in French antique glass.

The delicate cabbage shape makes it a delightful addition to a French country kitchen, a springtime table, or styled among treasured collections. Use it for sweets, small keepsakes, or simply enjoy it as a beautiful decorative accent. There is a tiny area of minor rim roughness inside - detectable to the touch but not readily visible, consistent with age and reflected in the price. A rare color variation from one of France’s beloved glassmakers, this is the kind of antique that brings a little joy every time you see it.
