Antique Gilded Cherub Vanity Grooming Hat Brush, a lovely reminder of the elegance and gracious era of the 1800's. Brushes like this were used by your lady's maid to brush off your hat before she placed it on your elaborate coiffure before and afternoon or evening out. This one is an exceptional treasure, two cherubs surrounded by a large shell embellish each side of the oval middle.

Made of gilded brass, such a beauty. The cream colored brush bristles are in exceptional condition, this was loved and cared for by a collector of the finest lady's antiques. Add this to your own collection, it will look beautiful on your antique French mirrored tray, and be a star with your antique hat collection. In good antique condition with some wear to the gilding as is to be expected, mostly on the thin sides, and two smaller dark spots as shown on the top.
