19th Century French Napoleon III Mannequin with lovely dimensions. From a French collector, she has aged gracefully. Her body is covered with original black fabric, the wood turnings are black ebonized wood. Especially on the back she has some fading as shown. All original, she is waiting to enhance your dressing room, your atelier, hallway, or anywhere else you think she will be the rare star of your decor!
Mannequins like this in this condition are getting more rare to find. A fine example of her kind, these dressmakers dummies were used by dress makers and shops in the 1800's. She has an impossible wasp waist and high bosom of the "perfect" woman of her era, and a bustle back. Most likely made by Stockman. Original black wood stand. Not perfect, please see photos...she was used to model gowns and has been 'pinned on" as shown. She is an exemplary addition to your collection.
