A late 19th century French oyster service-a large serving platter and six individual oyster plates, in luminous all-white porcelain. Each piece has delicately molded triangular scallop shapes — six per plate, twelve on the platter. The clean lines and subtle relief showcase the skill and sensibility of French porcelain makers from this period. The set’s pure white finish allows it to complement any table setting, and look amazing in your traditional or contemporary home.
What makes this set especially rare to find is the condition. Unsigned, these were bought in France and most likely made by one of the wonderful Faïenceries like Saint-Clement, Clement Massier, and Creil-Montereau.
