A lovely antique French silvered metal figurine of Our Lady of Pontmain, standing on an ornate pedestal decorated with meaningful religious symbols. The Virgin Mary holds her traditional crucifix, and at her feet is the inscription ND de Pontmain for Notre-Dame de Pontmain. The pedestal is beautifully detailed, with a different symbol on each side—a cross, the Sacred Heart, an anchor, and a radiant emblem resembling a monstrance.
Standing almost 6 inches high, this devotional figurine was originally sold as a souvenir to pilgrims visiting the shrine at Pontmain, France.
