An exceptional antique French Louis XV bronze doré picture frame, this 19th century ormolu frame brings elegance, history, and quiet luxury to your home. Rich in detail and beautifully restored - jewelry quality restoration - this finely cast gilt bronze frame features delicate floral ornamentation and a flowing ribbon bow crest—an iconic Louis XV motif that we collectors love and look for. The luminous bronze doré surface catches the light with warmth, highlighting the depth and craftsmanship that define pieces of this quality.

The oval opening is lined with cream moiré silk, and has the glass. There is a small loop at the top where you could add a ribbon, should you want to hang this on your wall. Place this beauty on a writing desk, bedside table, or on a favorite shelf, it instantly adds a sense of story. The reverse has been carefully recovered by a skilled French craftsman in black moiré fabric. As with all authentic antique gilt bronze pieces, there may be slight variations in the surface color, adding to its authenticity and charm.
