Antique French Linen Damask Napkins Monogrammed Set for 6, large creamy white linen damask napkins with a beautiful central monogram M J. This pretty monogrammed set is made with high quality, fine medium weight linen damask, with an overall floral motif of small garden flowers and larger tulips. These are very large, they were meant to cover a guest's entire lap- large 1800's skirts and all!
The monogram is finely embroidered in an exceptional relief of bourdon stitching, accented with leaf motifs for extra style. The embroidery is truly a work of art! Made in the late 19th century. This pretty set is in good antique condition, there are some minuscule spots as shown in last photo.
