Antique French Ironstone Confit Pot for Marmalade from France, it is antique and shows signs of wear and all that lovely "buttering" {aging} we adore. The glaze is fabulous, it has the craquelure from decades of use.
This is a very heavy piece of French Country ironstone pottery, it will be a thrilling find for your collection. Wonderful to use on your table for jam, or mustard, for tea spoons, to display with your collection of other French culinary antiques, to hold cuttings from your herb garden in the kitchen. Color is a rich, storied taupe, most like the photo of the pot by itself.
