Exceptional, Antique French Hand Carved Short Handled Dark Patina Cutting Board, this has a lovely patina. This culinary workhorse was carved by hand in France in the early 1800's, it has a beautifully scarred surface and short handle. Stunning patina and personality! Rare to find shape, the handle has a hole should you want to tie a leather cord around the board for hanging. This old-world board with history makes a fantastic charcuterie or transforms elegant cheese board for entertaining inside or outdoors.
This is without a doubt the best antique board I've ever been able to find. Hand cut from a single piece of exquisite wood with upwards shoulders, this has knife marks and is timeworn from generations of kitchen use. Use quality board oil to keep this in good shape.
