Antique Estate English Silver Engraved Fish Serving Set with ivy engravings. These large serving pieces are so finely made with elegant celluloid handles meant to resemble carved ivory. The ferrules are sterling, the tines and blade are silver plate. The knife blade and the fork are engraved with ivy, these sets were a favored wedding gift for the bride and groom in the late 1800's, early 1900's.
In wonderful condition, sturdy and ready to serve at your most elegant table. Originally designed specifically to serve the fish course in a multi-course meal. This handsome pair of serving pieces lends an elegant touch to a buffet to serve cold cuts or other meats. Both are marked JMCS EP.
