19th Century Ormolu Gilt Bronze Picture Frame - Louis XVI Style, bought at market on a recent buying trip. A beauty, the round small frame has a deep a lovely French ribbon bow at the top. The gilded brass oval frame surrounding the photo area has a foliate design. This petite treasure can stand, or be hung by its round metal hanger.
The bow crowns the very top to perfection adding a feminine touch. the frame has two little ball feet. If you love antique treasures with the grace of time, this is perfect to add to your collection, the sides are a little bent as shown, the frame is kept together with straight pins.
