Stunning 19th Century Hand Woven French Family Linen Tablecloth with Red Stripes

The wonderful texture of this early French tablecloth immediately caught my eye. Hand woven from linen and hemp, it has the substantial weight, beautiful irregular weave, and timeless character that make antique French family linens so treasured today. Woven in a classic herringbone pattern, the rich madder red stripes at each end add warmth and a lovely touch of color.

One corner is embroidered with the original J.V. family laundry monogram, a beautiful detail that connects this heirloom textile to the French family who once cherished it. Originally part of a French trousseau, this 19th Century linen tablecloth features hand-stitched hems and remains in wonderful antique condition. Use this as intended on a table, or layer in an antique basket for a luxury display, a French Country addition to your linen collection. Lovely heavy quality, rare, I don't find these all that often.
