19th Century Savoyard Green Glazed Annelée Pitcher

A beautiful 19th-century French provincial green-glazed earthenware pitcher, known in France as a pichet or cruche. This is a wonderful example of Southern French pottery, from the Savoie region, where everyday utilitarian forms were elevated through beautiful glaze and confident handwork. The glaze is a rich, luminous emerald green—often referred to as “Vernet Green”—prized for the way it transforms simple earthenware into something visually striking.
