The softly rounded bowl sits gracefully on a fluted pedestal base, its sculptural silhouette enhanced by delicate ribbed detailing that catches the light beautifully. So exceptionally rare to find this large size, with an elegant shape that is simply magnificent from every angle. The rich turquoise-blue opaline glass glows with a silky translucence unique to antique French opaline, offering both presence and sophistication.

French opaline glass reached its height of popularity during the mid-to-late 19th century, prized for its translucence and jewel-toned colors. Footed centerpiece bowls in vibrant blue tones are particularly sought after, surviving examples with strong color saturation and elegant pedestal bases rare to find.
