Beautiful 19th Century French Black Romantic Period Baby Shoes, small little wonders. Little black slip on shoes, hand made of leather, with a decorative front and leather embellishment. These date to the mid 1800's, one shoe is marked 1847 under the front extension.
The backs have a small little button, used to add ribbon ties, these are no longer there. I stuffed some satin in the front of the shoes to show their shape better. Display these with your French toys, your shoe collection {I have my favorite pair under a glass dome in our entry hall} or perhaps you have a large doll these might fit. In good antique condition, for their age, please see the photographs. A delightful find from a favorite brocante!
