Beautiful early Antique Hand Painted Wood Courting Mirror, with a country floral design on the black painted wood. A perfect smaller size, it’s getting rare to find mirrors of this size. Decorative, with the gorgeous aging of the mirror we love, perfectly imperfect. The mirror has just a tiny bit of ghosting and age and patina, and nice “dry” paint.
The design features large red tulips, and foliate patterns in French Country colors of mustard yellow, cream, green, brown, and silver. The back was layered with card long ago, and papered over to protect the glass. A fantastic addition for your collection.
