Early Antique Estate Staffordshire Spaniel Dog with Basket, this is an unusual dog as he’s carrying a little basket with greenery. Prized for his age {early 1800 to mid 1800’s} he is a simple dog with less detailing than there is on later made Staffordshire dogs.
He was most likely a dog sold at a lesser price point – which doesn’t mean he is ‘less than’ today. A charming and rare to find dog, he has a chipped back leg which no one has repaired nor repainted because that’s part of his charm.
