The world of French bee keeping and beeswax products is fascinating, isn't it?! Charles: "When you consider that almost all candles sold on the market are mainly composed of paraffin {soft solid derivatives from coal, petroleum or oil shale} or stearin {extracted from animal and vegetable fat}, it becomes difficult to find inexpensive quality candles made entirely from natural wax. In addition to a delicious, and sometimes forgotten, perfume, natural wax is non-toxic {it is even allowed as a food additive}, non-carcinogenic and non-polluting. Because my products are so pure, made eco-responsibly and hand made in accordance with the traditions of the past, they are a little more expensive than other candles. Our candles have an exquisite perfume and plethora of benefits, no smoke or pollutants, or additives. Charles hand pours the "liquid gold" {pure beeswax} into specially created molds featuring a honey comb design.A BIENTOT

Alice, I love them! And I just received a box with a honey comb in it from a friend, I plan on serving it with a cheese board. I am excited to be selling the beeswax candles at FrenchGardenHouse this season.

Shirley, these candles smell like honey and bees, ever so slightly. They burn so beautifully too. I loved meeting Charles, he has so much information on his own website about bees, his candles, and bee keeping too .

This is fascinating!….I brought home a small jar of honey from France and it was wonderful!…I wish I would have thought to bring home some candles too! The candles are beautiful and best of all, candles you can feel secure in knowing that they are natural. Great interview and so interesting that you can have bee hives even on the rooftops of Paris.

Wonderful post. I love. Its difficult to find these beautiful candles. They indeed will make all people receiving them as hostess or Christmas gifts delighted. As a child I remember my parents bringing home honey that was filled with beeswax. We loved chewing it to get the honey. God is so evident in the bees work. Perfection is seen in the comb.

As you know me by now, I ordered the sets of candles for myself. I look forward to their arrival. I think of you often when using my linens I have purchased over the years. I also put them out on my table just to see them as I work in the room. Enjoy the fall season. Our plants are showing signs that fall is on it way. More yard work. I so enjoy my garden. Best wishes
