Make an Elegant French 75 Cocktail
The origins of the French 75 date back to World War I in France. The drink is actually named after a powerful field gun used by the French during World War I. {strange, but true!} The legend also supposes that perhaps the drink was first created in the New York Bar in Paris, in 1915. Here's my spin on this French classic, I use these genius Lemon infused sugar cubes! No making sugar syrup, no pouring through a strainer. no muss, no fuss. Sugar syrup is easy to make, but when I just want a quick cocktail for me and a BFF, I usually don't have any handy. These cubes are so easy! Elegant French 75 Champagne Cocktail Recipe

Makes 1 Cocktail INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 oz Gin
  • 2-3 oz Champagne
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice {if you want a tart cocktail}
  • 1 LUXE champagne sugar cube
DIRECTIONS:
  • Make sure to chill your champagne until cold.
  • Place sugar cube in an antique champagne coupe or other glass and pour in gin and lemon juice.
  • Add in extra lemon juice if you love a tart taste like I do!
  • Stir with a spoon to dissolve the cube a little then top with bubbly.
*Let the drink rest for a few minutes so the sugar cube starts to dissolve. Gently stir again. Add a lemon rind {in a curl if you can do that}for garnish and enjoy! You can add an extra touch of flavor and awesomeness by adding a dash of Cointreau too. Cocktails in summer

I love them! I’m not a big drinker, but these are so wonderful, especially in the summer!

The French 75 is my signature cocktail. Also the French Martini. I have not used the sugar cubes but will order immediately. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
