Antique Foie Gras Steamer in Provence gold, used to make foie gras, made by Luneville. The top of the lid is shaped like a flower, it has a hole to allow steam to escape when the "pot" is in the oven to make duck pate. On two sides there are decorative figural lion heads. Classic French cuisine, no kitchen would have been without a few of these pots.
Wonderful to add to your collection of French faience, to store herb de provence next to your stove, to hide your French bonbons or anything else you can think of. Quite heavy, a piece of potter's art with history. Marked Luneville, KG.
