MMB We are thrilled to have our dear friend Bonnie join us today! {I love it when we have guests - even more flower fun!!} MMB Sunflowers are a wonderful flower to transition from summer to fall, their sunny yellow rays and warm brown centers can instantly lift anyone’s spirits. Cheerful and happy, they're instant mood adjusters, aren't they? French country sunflower For a little happy flower inspiration, we're all celebrating the sunflower this Monday. french sunflower bouquet I bought two bouquets of sunflowers, along with a mixed bouquet at the flower market this week. Sunflowers always make me smile, especially at this time of year. Flow Blue & Sunflowers

I want to be like a sunflower; so that even on the darkest days I will stand tall and find the sunlight.

Flow Blue & Sunflowers On a sunny September afternoon, while setting this French Country table, I envisioned what this table would look like later in the afternoon, when the sun was waning. It did not disappoint! Flow Blue & Sunflowers Sunflowers have an exceptional kind of beauty, their sun-kissed golden yellow color is the perfect complement to the deep cobalt blue of antique flow blue plates. I set this table with an antique French hand woven cloth as a neutral back drop. French Country table setting A stack {I know! I usually don't do stacks, but this time the top plate is for a salad course.} of antique flow blue plates at each place setting are a wonderful color combination with our new chestnut linen napkins. Chestnut French linen napkins antique flow blue plate Antique coin silver and French silver plated flatware adds a little gleam and glamor to this mostly country setting of Provencal colors, sunny golden yellow, deep blue and warm chestnut brown. sunflower qoute The antique stone fruits are one of my favorite "finds" this summer - I sprinkled them around this table for fun. french country flower centerpiece

Advice from a sunflower. Be bright, sunny and positive. Know your roots. Spread seeds of happiness. Rise, shine and hold your head up high. Keep on growing. Even on the darkest days, stand tall and find the sunlight.

So French Lidy. The flow blue is a favorite as is the coin silver. The blue and yellow mix is always a favorite.

Lidy, Your commentary is lovely. You have a way with words. I always enjoy your french heritage in your styling and descriptions.
I love your arrangement. The sedum is that perfect fall color. Mine does not get full sun, and it isn’t as pretty as yours. Since it roots so easily, I need to move some to another spot. The camomile, asters, and sedum compliment the sunflowers so well. The flow blue and stone fruit are elegant, and the chestnut linen napkins are also.
I enjoyed being a part of MMB today. Thank you for including me as a guest bloomer.

What a beautifully simplistic table setting and floral arrangement, Lidy! So many of your flowers remind me of my former landscape garden, from the sunflowers to the asters and pink sedum. The added wild chamomile and greenery makes a perfect early fall statement when together with the others. Love the flow blue with your chestnut napkins, and the stone fruits randomly placed. True to your heritage, you do a country French table so, so well. Happy Labor Day to you!

Happy Labor Day, Lidy! But, I hope it will be a day or relaxation. I love your mix of flowers, especially the sedum that looks like mine that is growing in our garden. The sunflowers really pop mixed with the Flow Blue plates and your chestnut linen napkins. I love the sunflower quotes…sunflowers do make me smile! Your lovely table brings back memories of our trip to Provence many years ago. It is always a pleasure to share our Monday Morning Blooms!

Good Morning Lidy, I love your cheery mix of flowers in your pitcher! I especially love the sedum and chamomile paired with your sunflowers. I’ve always admired Flow Blue and love it on your table paired with the warm cinnamon napkins. Your antique stone fruits are a wonderful find and addition to your table. We both shared advice from a sunflower today. :) As always, it’s a treat to share blooms with you. Happy September and Labor Day! <3

Mary
