THE LOUVRE The Louvre is the largest museum in the world. It's really one of the jewels of the city. Well known for that magnificent glass pyramid, it has the former Royal Residence as its backdrop. You can see what's left of the Louvre Moat, visit the Egyptian Antiquities display, or view the magnificent ceilings of the ornate Galerie d’Apollon.

CHATEAU DE VERSAILLES Technically Versailles is just outside Paris, but once you are in Paris, a day trip to the Château of Versailles is a must do. One of the most stunning palaces in the world, it began as a royal hunting lodge and was completely transformed by the Sun King himself, Louis XIV. Your virtual visit to Versailles will allow you to stroll through the Hall of Mirrors, be amazed at Marie Antoinette's floral bedroom, and virtually stroll through the Hall of Mirrors, and visit the royal chapel. Versailles really has enough to do on their virtual site that it's almost like being there! Lots of fun historical facts, how to dress like a royal, a garden tour, go inside the royal opera, and much more! This is definitely worthwhile and super fun.

THE MUSEE d'ORSAY The Musée d’Orsay is one of the most iconic museums in Paris, situated in a former train station. On the banks of the Seine, this is where Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night is at home. The virtual visit allows you to see the art works at the Musee up close, and you can learn about the history of the museum.

MUSEE de L'ORANGERIE The Jardin des Tuileries is a destination spot, more so since in the very middle of it is the Musée de l’Orangerie. The museum has two levels, and there are so many beautiful artworks there to see. The most famous is the surprisingly HUGE Waterlilies by Monet. You can see this large scale wonder in the virtual tour, and dream of Monet's garden.

THE PARIS CATACOMBS Certainly one of the most unusual places to visit in Paris, the Paris Catacombs are under the 14th arrondissement. With an interesting history that begins in the late eighteenth century, when major public health problems tied to the city’s cemeteries led to a decision to transfer their contents to an underground site. Twenty meters underground in a maze of galleries, you can discover an ossuary containing the remains of several million Parisians. This unique site recalls the history of these Parisians and invites visitors to take a timeless journey. THE MUSEE DES ARTS DECORATIFS I love visiting the Musee des Arts Decoratifs Fashion Collection. You can get really really close to the sumptuous fabrics and details of the gowns and men's wear that were part of the "a la française" fashion style . Under Louis XIV, in the second half of the 17th century, a true artistic policy was put in place in France which benefited fine arts such as applied arts. French classicism was a model that was emulated throughout Europe. The golden age of French decorative arts became even more evident in the 18th century with the new Regence, Rococo and neoclassic styles. All the elegant Europeans dressed "à la française".
