BRILLIANT FRIENDS | MEET DESIGN AUTHOR JAMIE LUNDSTROM
If you are a francophile at heart too, {and I'm guessing you are since you are here,} you will love meeting my beautiful and brilliant friend Jamie. Jamie has a love for French vintage decor, and it shows in her beautiful decorating style. Jamie makes her world a more beautiful place, she has a knack for design and creating a warm, French vintage styled home with a modern twist. She was gracious enough to allow me to share some photos of her French inspired home - and after that I'm so excited to finally be able to share about her book that was just published! Jamie's home is a reflection of the best of today's interiors, a mix of French Country style antiques with a modern sensibility {you might even recognize something from FrenchGardenHouse inside her book.} From her light filled living room... ... to her wonderful French styled dining room, she has a knack for combining antiques with clean modern pieces to create a home for her family that is an enchanting and beautiful place to live. Her kitchen is filled with lots of white, but also vintage and antique pieces that make it feel like home. And her bedroom is swoon worthy, so elegant and feminine. Who wouldn't want to wake up in this room every morning? I am absolutely delighted to be sharing Jamie’s book launch with you. It's a book filled with beauty, and even better, tutorials to create many small personal French style accents and decor for your own home. It's the perfect gift for yourself, or for friends who love the French style. A labor of love, Jamie's new book, French Vintage Décor, contains 70 DIY projects, all of them enchanting French inspired projects that are characteristic of her enviable style. If you’re a fan of French decor, you’ll love this collection of elegant DIY projects, some of which can be seen in the photos above in Jamie's home. Jamie, shown above arranging the roses she loves, will transport you to France via her book. She is clearly adept at creating Do It Yourself vintage French inspired decor, to mix in with your French antiques at home! The projects are fun, and range from the super easy to a little bit more challenging, so there is something for everyone. The book is arranged into sections with projects for textiles, art, mirrors, and furniture, with many delightful surprises you can create for your home or gifts. The projects she shares are all so do-able, and can fill even a beginner with the confidence needed to create something beautiful. Projects span every season and category, from sewing to painting and upholstery, including provincial antique baskets, an intriguing Trumeau mirror, a gold leaf frame, boutique plaster of Paris–dipped flowers and a chic antique chair. The book will have you turning page after page and wondering which of the charming projects you'd like to start with. Clear uncomplicated instructions and photos will guide you every step of the way! You know we all desire to create a beautiful and welcoming home, and Jamie's book is a wonderful resource if you want to add little touches created by you. Rustic and elegant French décor never goes out of style—and with easy yet sophisticated accessories for your home, these 70 projects will transform your space and add that special touch to any room. I love the simple and beautiful styling in the book. I am still working to incorporate French Style in my home, so any ideas and beautiful pictures help me with the process. Thank you.

Love her warm and unpretentious look! In fact my kitchen is much like hers with the white subway tiles and stainless appliances. And I really must get a couple of the wonderful bread boards—perfect for charcuterie!

Jamie’s style and book are both very calming. But, I just can’t grasp French without gild, toile, floral, red and yellow!
