Want to get inspired for your own holiday decorating at home? The most fun part of my business involves lots of inspirational visits to antique auctions, shows, and interior design showrooms. I apologize upfront for the cell phone pictures…I can't take my camera with me at these events because I am not coordinated enough to balance my camera, bag and a glass of champagne at the same time!
Today I thought I'd take you with me to Jonathon's Coastal Living, a furniture and home decor showroom for their Holiday Open House. I went with a few friends, and we had a wonderful time looking at the way the room vignettes were decorated for the holidays. Each one a show stopper, each one beautiful.
Grab some champagne or a cup of hot cider and let's go! The trees were huge…and all decked out in different themes. Each room had beautiful furniture arrangements set up for the holidays too. I loved this large seating area, above, my whole family would fit! This velvet settee kind of stole my heart. I can imagine sitting here with a morning cup of coffee in my bedroom, can you? Beds were so inviting. Almost like going to a five star hotel, except there is no room service. Love these greys and lavender colors used on the last bed. This tree covered in silver, purple, aqua greens and reds was stunning. This amazing mirrored dining table set for the holidays with grand gilded deer and silver votives took my breath away. This snowman tree was so cute! There were so many beautiful trees…. Which one do you love most? Have you thought about how you will decorate for the holidays? Let us know, we'd love to hear!November 19, 2015
Beautiful Lidy, Just Beautiful! I am so glad that I have ventured to your site. I will be decorating after Thanksgiving. As I live on the water, I add a nautical theme to my Christmas Tree. Its decorated with white lights, silver garland and three different kinds of Star fish with an extra large starfish at the top…The nativity underneath. Nancy

Lidy, this post really has me anxious to start the decorating. I only have an idea of what I want to do and so it isn’t until I get things out that it really starts to take shape. I do Christmas rather sparsely in this little house, but it’s always fun.
Thank you for your sweet comment my dear!
sending hugs…

Thank you Jane! The photos are a little fuzzy, but you get the idea, and that’s what matters. I love the ribbons too, there are so many ways to decorate a Christmas tree, it’s fun to change it up, isn’t it?

Wonderful post, Lidy…all of the pictures are great. Cell phone pictures have been rated superior to the most expensive ‘point and shoot’ cameras so never worry. I have a great Canon Rebel and I save it for family parties. It’s just too cumbersome to carry at events or just sightseeing. Maybe someday I can get (afford!), the smaller one they have now.
Sorry to get carried away…the tables and trees are extraordinary. I’ve just started to do ribbon on my trees and I love the ideas. Thank you!!

These are some beautiful holiday scenes! I cannot wait to begin decorating (but I always wait until after Thanksgiving). I plan to use a French Christmas theme in my decor – very understated & classic. I hope I can pull it off!!!
