Antique Late  Copeland Spode Wild Flower Tea Service for 6, as fresh as a garden in springtime. Made by Copeland Late Spode, manufacturer of earthenware and fine porcelain at Stoke, Staffordshire, England, since 1770. The marks on these pieces date them to the 1890’s. A lovely design very reminiscent of the chintz patterns, the all over blue design is highlighted with garden flowers that were individually hand colored in pink, purple, yellow and blue.

To find a complete set of six footed cups and saucers and six cake plates is wonderful. One of the cake plates has a darker spot in the center, age related, these are, after all, over 130 years old. There is one squared plate that was used to serve small cakes or cookies. In good condition for their age, the larger plate has been professionally repaired in one small area, I’m including it for free since it’s part of the history of this set. A lovely set to display, and to serve tea in lovely style.

  • Measure: plates-6-1/4″; cups-4-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″h., saucers-5-1/2″.
