Exceptional Hand Painted Limoges Plates decorated with exquisite Shells and Ocean Life. These are beautiful examples of porcelain made by the Haviland Company in Limoges, France, this mark was used from 1892 – 1932. This matching set of six plates has been expertly hand painted with sea life including seaweed and gorgeous shells highlighted by raised enamels.  A superb display set and perfect to be added to your own collection of shell and ocean painted porcelains, imagine these surrounding a grand mirror covered in shells, or on display with antique shell objects. Each piece is rich, elegant and has a heavy gold border. 

A magnificent set, with delicious pastel ground colors, each has different shells and seaweed in glorious colors of pink, green, cream, lavender, purple, blue, yellow and brown, expertly hand painted. The gold borders have slight wear, but no chips. These will make a unique and lovely addition to your collection and will display beautifully no matter the setting. Display in your cabinet, aesthetically pleasing and art for your interior! Wonderful for a dinner, mix with our Minton White plates for a truly magical table, although it would be a shame to damage these with knife marks. A wonderful set! Each measures 7~1/2″.
