Vintage Pink Apricot Tea Cup an Dessert Plate Trio
Details
Beautiful Vintage Tea Cup and Dessert Plate made by Foley, of England, between 1948-1963. The Foley China Works was first established in 1850 by Mr. Robinson, then purchased in 1885 by Elijah Brain and partners. {What the EB in the mark stands for.} This is a beauty! Such an unusual color, not quite Pink, not quite Apricot, but a stunning combination of both.
The decorative design is beautiful with gilt flowers and French scrolls all over the color, the white porcelain sets it off perfectly. Hand painted gold rims the scalloped edges, the handle has been decorated by hand with gold too. The dessert or sandwich plate is ever so slightly lighter in color. A stunning set for your collection of antique and vintage porcelain, this looks barely used and was most likely displayed in a collector's cabinet.
- Measures: Plate-6-1/4";Cup-3-1/2" x 3"h;saucer-5-1/2".
