A vintage milk glass pedestal bowl with a scalloped rim and raised eight-sided base, finished in a layered pressed glass pattern that gives it structure, depth, and a beautiful sense of rhythm. What I love about this piece are the details — the softly scalloped edge with pointed intervals between each curve, the raised star motifs along the panels, and the central geometric forms that feel almost like small sunbursts when the light moves across them. It’s the kind of pattern that keeps revealing itself the longer you live with it.

The raised pedestal gives it just enough lift that it never disappears into a surface. It naturally belongs on a table or sideboard, but it also works beautifully as a decorative object on its own. It can hold garden flowers as a centerpiece, fruit, wrapped sweets, or nothing at all. The pattern shifts gently throughout the day with changing light, it doesn’t need much to look spectacular.
