Rare Pair of Antique Heubach Bisque Figurals – Girl & Boy with Sweets

I fell in love with this charming pair the moment I saw them together. A sweetly dressed girl and boy, each caught in the irresistible pleasure of a treat, they have the expressive faces and wonderfully detailed modeling that make antique Heubach figurals so special. What makes this pair especially wonderful is that they have remained together. Their generous size gives them a lovely presence on your mantel, in a bookcase, or displayed with other cherished European treasures. The soft, velvety surface of the bisque and their hand-painted details have the warmth and innocence that make antique Heubach figurals so irresistible.

Each has exquisite hand-painted details – from the rosy blush on their cheeks to the intricate folds of their garments – showcasing Heubach's renowned craftsmanship and attention to detail. Together, they capture one of those wonderfully ordinary childhood pleasures that never seems to go out of style. Their expressions, masterfully rendered in fine bisque, capture a fleeting moment of pure contentment, making them incredibly endearing and relatable even today. The boy has a restored hand - no doubt after some little person, enamored by the two, reached out and dropped him. The restoration is on his hand, and there is a break in his cap with sweets. Please look at the close up photos, and only adopt these two darlings if you can live with that.
