Antique treasures that were never originally meant to be worn together are the ones I most love bringing together. This one-of-a-kind Objet Trouvé necklace centers around an antique 14K gold-filled repoussé locket, just as Art Nouveau was coming into its own. The locket features the lovely profile of a woman surrounded by floral decoration and tiny paste stones. On the reverse is a monogram, “L De G.”, and the locket is signed B L Co. I paired it with a faceted crystal charm and a chunky gold paperclip chain for a necklace that feels both distinctly antique and easy to wear today.

The chunky paperclip chain is PVD 18K gold plated over stainless steel, a durable finish designed to better resist everyday wear and fading. It closes with a charm holder at the front, making it easy to add or change the charms as you please. I especially love the woman’s profile and the little monogram on the back of the locket — details like these are what make finding antique jewelry so much fun.
