Objet Trouvé is a collection of enchanting jewelry inspired by the romance of history, the allure of antique treasures, and timeless sophistication. Designed by Lidy Baars, exclusively for FrenchGardenHouse.
I love finding beautiful antique elements that were never meant to be together, then discovering how lovely they become when they are brought together. This Objet Trouvé necklace begins with an antique 14K gold-filled locket, from just on the cusp of the Art Deco movement, with delicate paste stones. I added an antique pearl dangle that came from my own grandmère’s jewelry, along with a gold-plated amour charm inspired by a French antique. Each has its own history, and together they make a necklace that feels collected rather than newly made.
The locket is signed S & B Co., a maker known for handmade jewelry. The chunky paperclip chain is PVD 18K gold plated over stainless steel, a durable finish designed to better resist everyday wear and fading, and closes with a toggle at the front. The necklace is 21" long, with the locket and dangle measuring approximately 3". I especially love the unexpected combination of the old locket, the pearl from my grandmère, and the French amour charm. It is exactly what I hope to capture with my Objet Trouvé collection: beautiful things found along the way, brought together in a new story.

Each order is carefully prepared, wrapped, and packed in-house with attention to detail to ensure a safe and beautiful arrival. Fragile antiques and decorative items receive additional care in preparation and packaging. Multiple-item orders may ship separately. Packages are sent via UPS or USPS Priority Mail, selected based on the size and weight of each order.
