A stunning example of late 19th-century American artistry, this antique satin glass biscuit barrel by Mt. Washington Glass Co. (later known as Wavecrest) exudes refined Victorian elegance. Made in the late 1800's, the softly opaline white ground is delicately hand enameled with charming sprays of blush and light blue blossoms with hand enameled details, each leaf and petal rendered with remarkable detail and finesse.
This has a lovely shape, the glass fades from softest palest light pink to pristine white. The jar is topped with its original silver-plated lid and ornate finial, adding a graceful touch of shimmer against the luminous glass. This beauty is in good antique condition, there is a spot of wear on the top of the lid so please only purchase her if you adore antiques that show they have been loved and used for over a century!
