Stunning Pickard Studios Parcel Gilt Poppy Design Limoges Bowl, Artist Signed, hand painted and decorated with lovely red blooming poppies on a buttercream pearl background. Such a gorgeous piece, the scalloped bowl was painted on a T & V Limoges blank between 1903 -1905 by Pickard artist Harry Michel.
He was one of Pickard's' earliest professional artists, working from 1898-1905. An accomplished artist, he was noted for his poppies, tulips, violets and nasturtiums.This beautiful bowl is an excellent example of Michel's work, vibrant and colorful. Marked on the back, Beautiful elegant shaped bowl has art nouveau scalloped edges. In wonderful condition for its age, a beauty!
