This antique Old Paris sauceboat has the kind of shape that makes a French table feel instantly more special. Its graceful open form is paired with an attached underplate, while bands of warm orange and hand-painted gold add a lovely touch of color against the white porcelain. Originally made for serving sauce at the table, this pretty piece is wonderful to use or simply enjoy as part of a collected setting.

Two chips are present on the underside of the attached underplate {when Maurice was distracted by the beautiful new parlor maid who took his breath away and he dropped this!} - they are not visible from the top when the sauceboat is displayed or in use. Bring it to the table when you’re entertaining, filled with a favorite sauce or condiment, where its pretty orange and gold decoration will feel right at home among your collected French pieces. Please only adopt this if you can live with antiques that have had a life and are perfectly imperfect.
