This sweet antique silver cup is engraved Ida & Alfred, giving it a little story before you even pick it up. I love the graceful shape, the softly curved sides and pretty foot, but most of all I love that two names have stayed together on this cup for all these years. It feels wonderfully personal—the sort of antique you can imagine being brought out for a special occasion, then kept and treasured.

Made by the Meriden B. Company, one of America's best-known 19th-century makers of silver-plated tableware, this cup has a beautiful old silver surface and the lovely weight of quadruple plate. Whether you collect antique silver or simply love things that carry a bit of someone's history, the engraving makes this one special. Fragile antiques and decorative items receive additional care in preparation and packaging. Multiple-item orders may ship separately. Packages are sent via UPS or USPS Priority Mail, selected based on the size and weight of each order.

The Meriden Britannia Company was founded in Meriden, Connecticut, in 1852. Engraved examples have an added appeal for collectors because the names and occasions connect them to the people who owned them.
