This charming antique ironstone sauceboat features the beloved Moss Rose pattern, a romantic and timeless floral motif popular in the 1800's. Delicate rosebuds are first transfer printed and then hand-painted, accented with soft green leaves and remnants of subtle gilding. The body is a cream toned white.
This beauty was a workhorse in a family's home, it dates to the late 1800's when this pattern was at the height of its popularity. With its elegant curves and a generously sized spout, it's perfect for serving gravies or sauces at your table. There is age appropriate aging and craquelure.
