This antique Hubley doorstop has a wonderful palette of dark gold, red, and deep green. The colors have mellowed beautifully with age, giving the cast iron a richness that is especially appealing in a room filled with antiques. This substantial cast-iron piece has a beautifully aged surface. Made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, it's a lovely example of the sturdy cast-iron door stops and decorative pieces made by Hubley in the early 20th century.
Featuring a gilded basket filled with red roses and other garden favorites, it's a beautiful addition to your collected interior. Marked on the back 42- this doorstop dates to the 1920's. The deep colors make it particularly lovely with antique books, display it with your collection of antique door stops, or by itself on a shelf with gardening books.
