Beautiful Antique Hand Painted French Portrait Miniature set in a wonderful inlaid bone frame. This portrait of a young lady wearing a gorgeous and quite elaborate golden yellow gown with French gold lame lace is a rare color to find. She wears a small crown in her hair, drop earrings and gorgeous jewels. Exceptionally well painted by an accomplished artist, the portrait is signed above her left hand. An unusual lovely portrait, she has a sweet face and a soft pink blush on her cheeks.
The painting is framed with an ornate gilt floral inset, the paneled cream colored frame is in good antique condition, an oval in a darker color really makes this stand out and enhances the beauty of this heirloom treasure. The tortoise shell is "faux". A gorgeous addition to your collection of miniature paintings, especially collectible.
