Antique French Porcelain St Amand Sauce Boat Red Leaf Design, made by St Amand Hammage, the faience company produced pottery in Wandignies-Hamage, France from 1896 until the 1900's. This sauciere is a lovely cream white with deep red transfer ware motifs of flowers and leaves. Dating from the start of the twentieth century, the shape has a beautiful scalloped top, the sauce boat is attached to the saucer.
A wonderful addition to a special table setting to delight your guests with a touch of French charm. Use this to serve gravy, your world famous custard sauce, whipped cream and more. There is wear and patina, a small underfoot area of loss and a small area inside the sauciere where it is 'rough' which happened at the factory and is under the glaze.
