Antique French Linen Damask Napkins Monogrammed Set for 4, large creamy white linen damask napkins with a beautiful central monogram L S. This pretty monogrammed set is top quality, fine medium linen damask, with a stunning overall floral motif of flower baskets, crossed garden tools and French Country wreaths.
These are very large, they were meant to cover a guest's entire lap- large 1800's skirts and all! The monogram is finely embroidered in an exceptional relief of bourdon stitching, accented with leaf motifs for extra style. The embroidery is truly a work of art! Made in the late 19th century. This pretty set is in good antique condition.
