Antique French Ironstone Compotier Footed Cake Pedestal, in a gorgeous French Blue Green transfer pattern. I love antique stands like this, they are happy to display your world famous birthday cake, appetizers, cheese,fruit, or simply hold an arrangement of seasonal things as a centerpiece. This lovely was made in the 19th century, in an Art Nouveau Iris flower design. Incised with Terre de Fer on the bottom.
Made of cream earthenware with a high gloss glaze, the transfers are crisp and beautifully detailed. In extremely good condition for its age, this pattern is so highly sought out by collectors, it's getting rare to find.
