Nothing starts the day off more perfectly than a steaming cup of Café au Lait, sipped from a bowl like the French do! The traditional faience, or earthenware, bols have been used in France for generations, to dunk yesterday's baguette into coffee for déjeuner, or to enjoy a bowl of soup in the evening.
A treat to add to your collection, this antique collectible bowl is a stunning shade of ice bleu over creamy white. In good condition for its age, has the "stilt" dots inside where it was placed over holders in the kiln. One hairline as shown, a clay addition to the side {factory glazed over} and patina we expect and love on a piece of this age. Display with your French pink and floral enamelware for the softer, shabby French Country style.
