Beautiful Antique European Father Christmas Die Cuts with Father Christmas carrying toys and dolls. The Victorian Father Christmas "paper scraps" as they are also called, were made by Paul B. Zoecke Company, founded in 1896, these date to the 1902's- 1930's. Each stunning Santa Claus, Pere Noel or Father Christmas was printed so expertly, colorful and vibrant. Finely embossed, they carry Christmas Trees, and plenty of gifts!
The assortment of toys, including dolls and little dogs, planes, cars, balls and more fill their sacks with colorfully wrapped gifts, fruits which were a rare and expensive luxury in the late 1800's. These are old unused stock I was thrilled to find on our latest buying trip. Perfect to frame, to make holiday ornaments with, to embellish gifts for the holidays, an exciting decorative find!
