Antique English Staffordshire Mulberry Lavender Plate, Abbey, made by George Jones & Sons of Stoke, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England. They began making this pattern in 1901, this is an early example. Beautiful soft lavender color, the central scenic design of the abbey is surrounded by water, trees.
The slightly scalloped border has a decorative outer design of scrolls and five cameo scenes. Lustrous glaze and unusual coloration makes this plate special. Sure to be beautiful showcased with your other antique transfer pottery in this magical color!
